On Wednesday June 7, 2001, we have been notified by the Ministry of Domestic Trade & Consumer Affairs on the following matter:-

1. New Anti-Pyramid Laws will be tabled in parliament next month to act against companies and their directors for operating Pyramid Marketing Plans.

2. Those operating or taking part in Get-Rich-Quick Schemes will face stem action which may include heavy fines, jaill terms and canning.

Pyramid Plans are plans which normally restricts the number of persons at the top e.g. binary (2) or matrix (3) and so on. The person at the top normally doesn't have to do anything because new members are being recruited and placed below him or her to make him or her rich.

GET-RICH-QUICK SCHEMES

Get-Rich-Quick Schemes are normally operated by companies whose products are highly priced and high commissions are paid out for each sale. This means the cost of the product is very cheap. Some don't even have a product or service to sell!
